  Biography

Lesia (pronounced Le sha) has had a love of dancing from a very young age.  Her father played the accordion and both her mother and father sang in a choir, so it was inevitable that dance would follow on. For many years she trained in Modern Jive, Street Latin, Rock & Roll and Ballroom & Latin.

In the year 2000, wishing to expand her knowledge in different dance styles, Lesia discovered the exotic art of Middle Eastern dance and was entranced by the powerful dance movements which are perfectly suited to the feminine body.

Continuing on this dance journey, Lesia attended private lessons and interstate workshops from well respected National and International  Bellydance teachers.   This led her to discover Keti Sharif’s A-Z flowing dance sequences and subsequently Keti’s ingenious concept of the PULSE8 programs which are suitable for all fitness levels, age groups, and interest.

In 2009 Lesia visited Egypt to experience the culture and see Egypt’s fascinating history.  To further her dance career, she attended Keti Sharif’s Teacher Training in Cairo held by highly regarded Master Teachers from Egypt, Asia and Australia.

Lesia’s passion for dance is reflected in her ability to communicate dance to women by bringing enthusiasm and lots of smiles into her classes.   To further enhance her teaching skills Lesia completed a Teachers Training Professional Development course in 2006.  She has a particular interest in teaching mature women giving them confidence to have fun with dance in a positive and safe environment.
